Privacy Policy — Ceibo

Ceibo ("we", "our", or "the app") is a habit tracking application developed by Sofía Otero. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using Ceibo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect what is necessary to make Ceibo work. Specifically:

Account information

Email address
Password (stored encrypted — we never see or store it in plain text)
Display name, username, and nickname you choose

Your habit data

The habits you create (name, icon, color, frequency)
Your daily check-ins (which habits you completed and when)
Reminders you configure (days and times)
Habits you archive

Feedback you send us

If you use the "Send feedback" feature, we store the category and message you submit, along with your user ID.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect your location.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, or files.
We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not sell your data. Ever.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

Create and maintain your account
Store and sync your habits across your devices
Show you your progress, streaks, and statistics
Send you the reminders you configure
Respond to feedback you send us
Keep the app secure and functioning

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the app's functionality.

3. Notifications

Ceibo can send you local notifications as reminders for your habits. These notifications are scheduled on your device.

You choose whether to enable reminders, and for which habits, days, and times. You can disable them at any time — within the app, or in your device's system settings. Ceibo will not send you notifications you didn't ask for.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database and authentication provider. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by row-level security rules, which means each user can only access their own data.

Supabase acts as our data processor. You can read their privacy practices at supabase.com/privacy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We only share data with the service provider necessary to operate the app (Supabase, as described above), and only to the extent needed to provide the service.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or ourselves.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your data:

Access and edit: You can view and edit your nickname, email, and password in the app, under "My Profile".
Delete a habit: You can permanently delete any habit and all its history from within the app.
Delete your account: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. We will delete your data within 30 days.
Disable notifications: You can turn off reminders at any time.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another region with applicable data protection laws, you may have additional rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and habit history.

8. Children's Privacy

Ceibo is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, encrypted password storage, and access rules that prevent users from seeing each other's data.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will notify you within the app.

Ceibo (“nosotros”, “la app”) es una aplicación de seguimiento de hábitos desarrollada por Sofía Otero. Esta Política de Privacidad explica qué información recopilamos, cómo la usamos y qué opciones tenés.

Al usar Ceibo, aceptás las prácticas descritas en esta política.

1. Información que recopilamos

Solo recopilamos lo necesario para que Ceibo funcione:

Información de la cuenta

Dirección de correo electrónico
Contraseña (almacenada de forma encriptada — nunca la vemos ni la guardamos en texto plano)
Nombre, nombre de usuario y apodo que elijas

Datos de tus hábitos

Los hábitos que creás (nombre, ícono, color, frecuencia)
Tus registros diarios (qué hábitos completaste y cuándo)
Los recordatorios que configurás (días y horarios)
Los hábitos que archivás

Comentarios que nos envías

Si usás la función “Enviar sugerencia”, guardamos la categoría y el mensaje, junto con tu identificador de usuario.

Lo que NO recopilamos

No recopilamos tu ubicación.
No accedemos a tus contactos, fotos ni archivos.
No usamos publicidad ni rastreadores de terceros.
No te seguimos a través de otras apps o sitios web.
No vendemos tus datos. Nunca.
